On Saturday 29 November, 26 people were arrested outside Lancaster Castle on suspicion of supporting a proscribed or- ganisation under the Terrorism Act. The planned protest was part of the Lift the Ban on Palestine Action campaign by Defend Our Juries.

The 26 are among 636 arrested in Defend Our Juries’s 12-day ‘Lift the Ban’ campaign, ac- cording to the group.

Palestine Action were pro- scribed under the Terrorism Act by then-Home Secretary Yvette Cooper in July. Since then, more than 2,300 people have been arrested for expressing support for the group.
