Lancaster triumphant in the Judo

In the first bout Olivier Bertrand secured a crushing ippon to defeat Robert Baker of York and got Lancaster off to a fine start. The next contest saw Mark Wilkinson take on York's Coe. This went the way of the visitors, as Wilkinson struggled against a heavier opponent.

In the final contest, the Women's over 57Kg, Lucy Oliver was defeated by Maria Janssens in a lengthy bout.

In the Men's over and under 90Kg, York forfeited, to give Lancaster a 3-2 victory; whist the Women's under 57Kg was completely withdrawn from the competition. No points were awarded, due to neither side fielding a fighter.
