Lancaster claim a point in the final match of the mixed badminton

It was a tense game for the mixed badminton team, ending in a well deserved victory for Lancaster. The team, fought closely with York throughout the gameending with a final deciding match in which Lancaster won. The final score ended Lancaster 5 York 4, with Lancaster stealing the victory in their final match scoring 23-25.

Lancaster worked well as a team, with each pair playing to their own advantages. The beginning of the match showed Lancaster take a lead, however York quickly fought back in the following games, bringing the score to an equal 4-4 before the deciding match. Strong serving and quick reactions saw Lancaster fight York all the way, with both teams showing equal strength in all of the matches. It was a close match but it was Lancaster’s energy and determination which earned them their final point.
