Lancaster overturn York in 2nds football

By the end of the first half, it wouldn’t have been surprising if this match had ended in a 0-0 draw. Both teams had chances to score, but neither side could quite manage to break down their oppositions defence. However, Lancaster came out in the second half and almost immediately got themselves a goal, followed by another two in the following half an hour.

York did manage to scrape one back and make it 3-1 before the end, but the lack of celebration at this made it clear that York had resigned themselves to defeat. When asked for comment, Jack Pitchers for Lancaster said that the first half "was difficult with the wind but we battled hard" and that in the end "it was a pretty easy win, but regardless an unreal feeling when we won."
