Youth arrested after Lancaster student shot dead in Salford

A student from Lancaster University has died after a shooting in Salford, Greater Manchester, in the early hours of Boxing Day.

The victim has been identified as Anuj Bidve, 23, from India. Greater Manchester police say that his family have been informed. Greater Manchester police have confirmed that a 17-year-old suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
