Spine Spotting

Hannah interviews some very stylish students on Lancaster University's renowned catwalk, 'the Spine.'

Kelly & Lorna

Kelly's deep green jersey smock dress is practical as well as stylish for a day spent on campus. Her style inspiration comes from looking at current trends and street style.

We loved what Lorna was wearing today, especially this fabulous dark purple jacquard over-sized top which is comfortable to just throw on, yet creates a really stylish outfit. Lorna said: “I’m from Blackpool which is very close to Lancaster, therefore I’m used to this cold weather, so my staple item is my snug green parka."

 Mingkit & Henry

These two boys stood out from the crowd due to their distinctive green parka coats, Mingkit's from a Swedish online shop and Henry’s from ASOS.

These statement coats seem like wardrobe staples however, the boys said they couldn't live without a good pair of shoes, if that is their reliable Vans, desert boots or boat shoes.

Shan Shan

Shan Shan's style is casual chic, completing the look with a red plaid print scarf – the tartan/checked/plaid print that seems to be absolutely everywhere this season!

Originally from China and is used to living in an urban city, Shan Shan pointed out that she dresses down a lot for life as a student at Lancaster University whereas her style in China is slightly more formal.

David

We loved David’s denim on denim look today,  his denim jacket is his style staple – he always has to have at least one in his wardrobe! Originally from New Zealand, David finds most of his basic buys in Lancaster's Topman, especially good for a denim fix.

To complete his laid-back outfit, David pairs skinny jeans and pumps with a unique graphic tee, normally from online boutiques.

Unfortunately, we have lost track of who originally wrote this article, as it did not have any author information..
