What is Spine?
So over the summer, we had this idea for a brand new section of our redesigned website. These days, the world and his wife are browsing the internet, thanks to this guy.

So we tried to bring SCAN into the 21st century with this new idea, Spine. Only, every time we mentioned Spine, everyone looked at us like this:

'Spine?' they'd say. 'Like the body part?'

'Or a book?'
No, dear friends. The Spine is that lovely little walkway you use to travel around the university, the one that often becomes a wind tunnel in the dreary Lancaster rain. (Read more here). Now it's something every student can be a part of. We're feeling as pleased as this otter who just nailed that shot.

So what are we looking for? Well, loyalty, of course. Once you're a SCANner, you're always a SCANner.

And for you to be excited and passionate about everything you contribute (falling over with joy is optional).

Journalists everywhere are writing short, snappy blog posts overflowing with fluff and fun – we want Lancaster to be a part of it.

Most importantly, we want you to be a part of it so we can share this exciting new writing opportunity with everyone.

Have you got something you want to talk about that every Lancastrian can relate to? Or even every student?
For example, 5 ways of dealing with extremely long lectures?

Easy Tiger.
Or things you will inevitably spot in Alex Square?

I'm purple! I swear! Leave me be Morph, I only wanted a Greggs.
This is the year that SCAN goes viral.
